Project Shows Vision

Malpeque Park will be a tourist and local attraction that will showcase the gentle nature of the land and the way of life of its people, where visiting families and adults will spend a vacation to remember. Embracing all that is good about PEI, Malpeque Park will be positioned on a 550+ acre parcel of land, bounded by Malpeque Bay and the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

●  Year 'Round Tourist Appeal

In order to ensure the year ‘round financial viability of this mammoth project, modern Biosphere technology will be utilized whereby many key components will operate under shelter, inside individual biospheres.  This will allow the components to interact with each other, creating the opportunity to stage and host major events of a magnitude not yet seen in PEI.

This mammoth development will feature a unique family Summer Camp/Campground Theme Park, an Indoor Water Theme Park, the unique Palmer Pearl Premier, the first LPGA Championship Golf Course designed for ladies.  This golf course will be supported by an  9-hole Indoor Executive Golf Course featuring a sample of the world’s most popular golf holes.  The project will also include: an Indoor Botanical Garden, an Indoor Amphitheatre and 2 Multiplex Arenas.   These elements will be anchored by a Town Square featuring a 5-star Brand Name Victorian-style Hotel with Convention Centre and Spa, several adjacent restaurants, and a commercial/residential village featuring a 3.5 star hotel, staff housing, a cliff-side non-denominational chapel and commercial space for retail trade and services.  These will be complimented by a long pier, a marina, Sea Plane and Helicopter landing for tours and hiking/biking/walking trails.

Support infrastructure will include modern waste and water treatment facilities, expanded utilities service and roads.  Windmill power is being explored as a means of providing renewable energy to the complex and the region.

Provisions for maintaining the character of the region should be enshrined in the city bylaws, so the vision can be maintained in perpetuity. This includes the creation of public parklands and trails, as well as, developer’s financial contribution to many socially related issues.
