UNESCO Heritage Sites

Newfoundland's Great Northern Peninsula comes by the word 'great' honestly.  The region is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites.  The Tablelands and landlocked fjords of Gros Morne National Park are a world away from space and time as we know it.  Further up the Peninsula, stand in the land where the Vikings stood.  Vinland, they called it, and a millennia later berries are flourishing still.  Explore the life of the Vikings through ancient community at L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site:  a place that UNESCO has set aside for its significance in bridging the Eastern and Western worlds.  Visit the working lifestyle village of Norstead to celebrate Viking life as it was 1000 years ago with a Viking wedding and traditional Viking food
